I absolutely love this Berry ripe smoothie so I just had to share it with you. Its great for a healthy and nutritious morning breakfast on the run and perfect for a refreshing afternoon treat on a warm day. It’s going to become your new Summer staple!

Raspberries, Strawberries, cocoa and coconut are the star ingredients here and in my opinion a match made in smoothie heaven.

The name is on point because it tastes just like a cherry ripe only with berries instead! You could definitely add frozen cherries in there as well. As a kid my favourite Cadbury chocolate was a cherry ripe and it probably still is. The tartness of the cherries, sweetness of the coconut and the creaminess of the chocolate makes the ultimate combo.

So why not take that formula and turn it into a Summer Smoothie! In saying that, I enjoy this all year round and my kids do too!

Here’s what you need for a berry ripe smoothie

*Large handful of ice (add a bit extra if you are using fresh berries)

*Frozen raspberries

*Frozen strawberries

*Cocoa powder

*Natural yoghurt

*Desiccated coconut

*Coconut water

The ingredients are simple enough that you can always have them stocked at home. That way your ready to make this when you just want something refreshing and sweet and yummy!!

Deliciously refreshing this berry ripe smoothie is going to be your new Summer staple.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup ice cubes
  • ½ cup Fresh or frozen raspberries
  • ¼ cup fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 2 tsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp natural yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp desiccated coconut plus extra for decorating
  • ½ cup coconut water

Instructions
 

  • Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth.
  • Pour in tall glasses and top with a sprinkle of extra coconut. Serve immediately.

Notes

*If using fresh berries then add some extra ice
