Homemade Garlic Bread

Easy recipe for the best homemade garlic bread. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside with the perfect balance of garlic and herbs. So much beter than store bought.

Ingredients

  • 1 French stick or baguette
  • 150 g butter chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic crushed
  • Pinch salt
  • ½ cup parsley finely chopped

Instructions

  • Heat the oven to 200°
  • Place the butter and garlic in a small pan and cook on low heat until the butter has melted and is bubbling. Add chopped parsley and salt, stir through and set aside.
  • Cut the baguette into thick slices approximately 1.5cm being careful not to slice all the way through.
  • Place the baguette on an oven tray lined with baking paper. Using a pastry brush generously spread the butter mixture inside each cut of bread.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the outside is golden.

Notes

**If you prefer a softer outside then wrap the garlic bread in foil prior to placing in the oven.
