Bircher Muesli

Bircher muesli is a healthy, fruity and delicious breakfast made with oats, fruits, nuts and yoghurt. Easy to prepare ahead so It's great for breakfast on the run.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 1 apple peeled, cored and grated
  • 1 pear peeled, cored and grated
  • 1 cup natural yoghurt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup dried fruit of choice raisins, cranberries, figs etc
  • ½ cup nuts and seeds of choice flaked almonds, peppitas, walnuts etc
  • fresh berries to serve
  • drizzle of honey to serve

Instructions

  • In a large bowl add the oats, apple juice, grated fruit, yoghurt, cinnamon, dried fruit, nuts and seeds. Mix well until combined.
  • Cover with a lid or cling film. Place in the frige and leave to soak overnight.
  • The following morning, divide into bowls, containers or jars. Top with fresh fruit, extra nuts and a drizzle of honey.
